2021-22 School Year: What were the backgrounds of Webster County School District students?

White students made up 74.8% of the 1,758 students enrolled in Webster County School District schools during the 2021-22 school year, making them the most represented ethnicity, according to the Mississippi Department of Education.

This is a 0.3% increase over the previous school year.

East Webster High School had the highest enrollment in the district with 484 students.

A snapshot of Webster County School District schools showed 74.8% of students were white, 21.1% were Black, and 2.4% multiracial.

Webster County School District roughly covers four schools within Webster County and has a main office in Eupora.

Mississippi has continually struggled with public education. The most recent Report Card on American Education, from a right-leaning think tank, gave the state a C-. This is consistent with ratings stretching back nearly a decade.

The nonpartisan Education Week also ranked Mississippi schools as C- in their most recent analysis.
