Webster County: Female students were most represented gender among students in the 2021-2022 school year

Of the 1,274 students in Webster County schools, 49.8% were men and 50.2% were women, according to the Mississippi Department of Education.

The previous year, the student body across Webster County schools was 50.7% men and 49.3% women.

Eupora High School in Eupora had the highest number of boy students while East Webster Elementary School in Mathiston had the most girl students.

There are three schools within Webster County.

Mississippi has continually struggled with public education. The most recent Report Card on American Education, from a right-leaning think tank, gave the state a C-. This is consistent with ratings stretching back nearly one decade.

The nonpartisan Education Week also ranked Mississippi schools as C- in their most recent analysis.
