Enrollment by Ethnicity: White highest represented background in Attala County schools in 2021-2022 school year

Of the 3,200 students enrolled in Attala County schools in 2021-2022, 47.2% were White, according to the Mississippi Department of Education. This was the most represented ethnicity among Attala County students.

This is a 7.5% increase over the previous school year.

Kosciusko Senior High School had the highest enrollment of White students in the 2021-2022 school year.

A snapshot of Attala County schools showed 47.2% students were White.

There are nine schools in Attala County.

Mississippi has continually struggled with public education. The most recent Report Card on American Education, from a right-leaning think tank, gave the state a C-. This is consistent with ratings stretching back nearly one decade.

The nonpartisan Education Week also ranked Mississippi schools as C- in their most recent analysis.
