Grant Awarded! I got the call today from Washington, D.C.!!

$253,000 wow I am in awe of the work the Eupora Economic Development has been able to accomplish so far. These guys work their tails off, as volunteers! As happy as I am for them, I am just as happy for Chief Caradine and the Eupora Police Department

The police force was our number 1 priority when I created this group. Janet Cook investigated and worked with them to see what their processes were like and how we could make it better. They spend hours trying to get paperwork, codes, and procedures right to file to NIBRS. 

An incident early in my term, left me shocked at how vulnerable our guys are out in the town or on calls. If they don’t have a body cam or it malfunctions, they are no different than hearsay.  In the world we find ourselves in, police officers can almost become victims having to prove themselves. 

In April, we met with Trent Kelly office here in Eupora. We are so lucky to have Mr. Wily Weddle here and working for us. We expressed these issues, it turned out there were programs specifically designed for our request!

We left the meeting thinking this might actually happen. In May, we got a call next stop the House Floor. Our proposal had just gotten scored in the TOP 5 of 80 requests!

Let’s Go Eupora!! Unbelievable job by the city, the team, and our Representatives of our State in Washington! Webster County has gotten over 3 million this session!
