Bulldoogs end season with loss at Meridian

The 2022-23 basketball season has come to an end for the Holmes Community College Bulldogs after falling to the Meridian Community College Eagles, 72-65, here Monday night in the opening round of the Region XXIII Tournament.

The Bulldogs ended the season 14-11 overall.

Meridian led 27-24 at halftime and then outscored the Bulldogs, 45-41, in the second half for the win.

Dacory Porter led the Bulldogs in scoring with 21 points while Caleb Campbell had 15. Jalen Tatum led with eight rebounds while Jourdain Dishmond had six.
