Bulldogs split with Meridian and Gulf Coast

The Holmes Community College split two games here Tuesday with Meridian and Gulf Coast. The Bulldogs fell 16-1 versus Meridian and defeated Gulf Coast, 4-1.

Holmes will begin MACCC play on Saturday vs. Jones at 2/5 p.m.

In game one versus Meridian, Cole Moudy suffered the loss. He went three innings and gave up five runs on seven hits with two strikeouts and seven walks. Will Carter and Walker Floyd pitched in relief. Matthew Reed had a triple in the game.

In game two versus Gulf Coast, John Paul Buckner went seven innings and have seven strikeouts and gave up one run. Reese Smith had the only hit in the game.
