Bulldogs knock off Wolves, 90-83 in triple OT

The Holmes Community College Bulldogs got their MACCC record back to .500 after a 3OT game here Tuesday night with Copiah-Lincoln Community College winning 90-83.


With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 10-4 on the season. Holmes hosts East Mississippi at 6 p.m. on Thursday.


Co-Lin led 30-26 at halftime, but Holmes outscored Co-Lin in the second half 41-37 to tie the game at 67 at the end of regulation. Both teams scored six points in the first overtime and nine in the second overtime before the Bulldogs outscored the Wolves 8-1 in the third overtime to pull out the win.


Jalen Tatum led the Bulldogs with 26 points while Dacory Porter had 21 and Michael Whitmore had 10. Porter led with 10 rebounds to have a double-double.


Against Southwest on Thursday, the Bulldogs fell 77-68. Caleb Campbell led with 17 points while Caleb Kent had 13 and Tatum had 10. Raymond Adams finished with 11 rebounds.
