Alford and Luckey lead the Lady Bulldogs over the Lady Tigers, 77-59

 
Ally Alford and Danielle Luckey each poured in 26 points to help lead the Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs to a 77-59 MACCC victory over the Coahoma Community College Lady Tigers here Thursday night.
With the win, the Lady Bulldogs improved to 13-8 overall and 5-5 in the MACCC. Holmes travels to East Central at 6 p.m.  Monday.
The Lady Bulldogs had a huge first period to outscore the Lady Tigers, 31-10. Coahoma took the second, 19-10, but Holmes led 48-29 at halftime. Coahoma outscored Holmes, 30-29, in the second half, but it wasn’t enough.
Alford hit five three-pointers in the game. Luckey had nine buckets and made eight free throws. Lanie Potter finished with 14 including three three-pointers. Luckey had 15 rebounds in the game as well.
Holmes shot 51 percent from the floor (26-of-51), 50 percent from the three-point line (8-of-16) and 60.7 percent from the free throw line (17-of-28).
